Tulips and Crumb Cake

I hope you have a wonderful Easter.  My husband ordered us a dinner from Cracker Barrel.  Place the order on line, schedule a pick up time and go pick it up.  Super easy.  He got the full ham dinner and all the fixings - cheesy potatoes, green beans, apple slices and rolls.  No complaints from anyone.  Except Alyssa, since she hates green beans.  Usually, I still make her eat a few veggies, but being Easter, I let it slide.  Alyssa and I both had to work, so otherwise, we didn't do anything special.

Last week, I was able to get in my stamp room.  Still doesn't happen too often with the hours I'm currently working.  I am so very looking forward to Friday.  It will be my first day off in 12 days.

I really like the look of Crumb Cake and white embossing powder.  Can't say why, but I do.  Here I took the tulip from Winds of Change stamp set and did exactly that.

The tulip is colored using the aqua painters.  Rococo Rose for the tulips,  Pear Pizzazz for the stems and Mossy Meadow for the leaves.  You can't really tell the difference between the greens, but I tried for dimension in the card.

Speaking of dimension, the strip of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Tufted 3D embossing folder.  After it was embossed, I used my Wink of Stella and colored the entire piece.  I was glad that my Wink of Stella was brand new.  My older one wouldn't have worked for that much coloring.

The sentiment was from the Floral Essence stamp set.  It's stamped in Rococo Rose and cut out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes dies.  Don't forget to use dimensionals with it.

The top of the card was too plain, so I added the ribbon.  I sure hope this ribbon isn't on the Retirement List that is coming out April 23!  It's so versatile and one of my favorites.
