Sympathy Tree

I'm pleased to say the Megan made it to England finally.  It was a little rough since she had no help getting from the airport to the university and then to her room.  She was tired and frustrated, but ok.  As a mom, it's so hard not being able to travel with her and make sure she arrives safely.  Problem is, she doesn't want me to hold her hand.  Guess those days are over.

Time to dig out the new stuff!!

Here I used the new Golden Afternoon Cling Stamp set.  It's available in the new Occassions Catalog.  This is the smaller of the two trees in the set.  It gives a peaceful vibe to it.  Perfect for a sympathy card.

The tree is colored in Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake.  I colored the stamp itself with markers to get both colors.  Then, I took a Blender Pen and lightly colored in with the same colors.

Do you like the checkered paper?  It's from the new Gingham Gala DSP.  One side is this smaller checkered pattern and the other side is a larger checkered pattern.  I love how they have the two different sizes.

Don't forget when taking the cling stamps off the acryllic block, gently peel the stamp off.  You don't want to risk breaking the stamp.  I have heard other demonstrators are using a little piece of Washi Tape on a corner of the stamp so that's their go-to spot when removing the stamp.  Cool idea!  I need to try this.  I have plenty of Washi Tape around.
