Sponging With the Meerkats

What a beautiful Sunday!  It was sunny and relatively warm, in the 40s.  That is warm for Wisconsin!  It was nice having the doors open for a little while getting some fresh air into the house.  The cat and dog liked sitting by the front door.  It's coming to an abrupt halt very soon.  Tuesday we are supposed to get 7-12 inches of snow.  But of couse, that can change by then too.

Club really liked making this card.  I saw it on Pinterest and couldn't resist CASEing the card.  I liked how the ground went around the meerkats and there was just a little white between the ground and sky.

You wouldn't have thought there was that many colors in the card right?  I kept sponging so you couldn't see the difference between the two colors in the sky and ground.

The sequins and baker's twine are from the SAB catalog, and unfortlunately are sold out.  It always happens to me when I get around to using them on my cards.  Bummer.  The sequins are not adhesive backed.  I found the easiest way to adhere them is to place tiny dots of the Multipurpose Adhesive Glue where you want to place the sequins.  Then, use the Take Your Pick tool, the adhesive end.  Pick up the sequin and then palce on the dot.  You may have to use your finger to gently get the sequin off the tool, but it's super easy.  It's the best way I have found.

Here's a quick peek at the inside.

I couldn't resist stamping him on the inside.  He's just so incredibly adorable!  Don't forget to color him with the Stampin' Blends.  Just sponging the ground and sky wouldn't be enough for him.

Don't forget these meerkats are FREE with a $50 order.  Check out the SAB catalog on the right side of my blog.
