Sailing Home Thank You Card
Well, I think I did accomplish evereything from the to-do list the other day. Whew! Once I get my living room back, I'm done painting for a while. Alyssa's room does look so grown up! But she is 22 years old too. We got some shelves up, bookcases are filled, and pictures will be hung on Monday.
Alyssa needed a masculine Thank you card and this is what I made.
Sailing Home Stamp Set made the card pretty easy. I've never bought a stamp set like this, more on the masculine side, but I'm really liking it. It's good to get outside of your comfort zone.
Take a look at the ship's wheel. I cut one out from the dies in Soft Suede, but the trinket wheel fits perfectly on top. The trinket is adhered by using glue dots.
The lighthouse and ship are also cut out using the dies. The only stamp that is directly on the Very Vanilla is the sentiment. In fact, the lighthouse is adhered with mini dimensionals.
I relaly wanted to add pearls on the Very Vanilla, but figured it woul take away from the masculinity of the card. I'll save those for another day.
