Mixing Snow Wonder with Poinsettia Place DSP

Did anyone else's weekend go way too fast?  I worked all day yesterday and today we had Chris' parents up for dinner.  They wanted to see Megan one more time before she left for university.  So, most of my day went to normal cleaning because they were coming.  I would have put some of it off a few days, but I couldn't.  So, at least my house is relatively clean.

I took a chance by ordering the Poinsetta Place DSP and not ordering the coordinating stamp set and dies.  They look beautiful, but too putzy for my taste.  But, I liked the paper.  Most people wouldn't order the way I did, but that's fine with me.  It's good to take chances.

This is my Thank You card for my club members.  Simple yet elegant.  They really liked their card.

The card base if Soft Suede.  Not typical for a Christmas card and that's why I liked it.  It's paired with Garden Green.  Strong colors, but they are softened by the lightness of the DSP.  The flowers are so pretty.  I almost colored the petals with the Wink of Stella.  Maybe next card.

The sentiment is from the Snow Wonder stamp set.  The size and wording is just perfect.  Almost meant to be!

With only the sentiment being stamped, it was a super simple card to put together.  The ribbon, unfortunately, is retired, but the card needed something.  Substitute another ribbon that you have in your stash.

It'll be interesting to see what else I can do with this DSP, without using the Poinsettia stamp set.
