Happy For You
It's the weekend! Tomorrow I have to work, otherwise I don't have any special plans. I do need to start cleaning out the flower beds, but it's just something I keep putting off. To me, it's not a very fun job. Just necessary because I hate looking at the dead plants all winter long.
So I made this quick card yesterday. I knew that I wanted to use the Cork paper and the Pretty Pumpkins stamp set. The Very Vanilla Stitched Rectangle was already in my scrap pile so I figured out a way to use it.
The pumpkin looks gorgeous embossed in gold! And with the gold ribbon...Beautiful! A basic card was just turned into an elegant one. This one didn't need any additional bling.
The base was just too bland for me. I used an additional piece of Rich Razzleberry and embossed it with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder. It was the perfect solution.
The words I colored with the Rich Razzleberry marker. Mainly because the "for" was part of Forever and I didn't want the "ever". It took me a while to come up with the right words, and the light went on when I thought of this. It was perfect.
