Christmas Gleaming Fun Fold Card

How was your weekend?  I had a friend over yesterday and we made Christmas cards.  We haven't hung out in a long time, so it was great getting together again.  Tonight, I got together with my former co-workers for pizza.  It was a great time.  With Thanksgiving coming up, we are all very excited for one thing.  WE GET A THANKSGIVING!!!  No eating early.  No leaving to get to work.  No dealing with crazy customers.  The past several years, it was getting really hard to eat and run from my family's dinner just so people can get those good deals.  There were actually quite a few people that would thank me for working.  I always appreciated those customers comments.  At least those customers realized the sacrifices we made for our jobs, and for them.

I've seen this card style for quite a while and finally sat down to make one.  The base of the card is Mossy Meadow.  I added a thin piece of Very Vanilla between the DSP and Mossy Meadow.  Otherwise, the DSP just blended too well, inspite of the copper accents.

It's paired with Pretty Peacock in the middle.  It wasn't one that I chose right away, but after researching, I found those two colors did go together.  They grow on you after a while.

I did the three ornaments in all three colors.  Take a peek:

The copper foil came in the actual DSP.  On the ornament, I used the copper embossing powder.  But here you get the gist of what colors were used in this card.

I have club this week, and we will be doing another version of this card.  I started it tonight, but had to leave for dinner.  I'll finish it tomorrow and will post it after Tuesday.  I gotta keep it a surprise for my club peeps!
