Brightly Gleaming Gate Card

Are we ready for another work week?  I'm never ready for this.  Friday I took my in-laws to LaCrosse to see Megan.  It's a long day up and back because it is a 5 hour drive.  But, it was a beautiful day for a drive.  The colors were the best around the Dells.  We walked around campus for a few minutes and went out to eat at her favorite cafe.  We then we drove up to Granddad Bluff.  It's a high bluff that over looks the city, Mississippi River and into Minnesota.  Beautiful.

What is not to love about Brightly Gleaming DSP?    There's shiny copper, beautiful colors  and designs.  It makes a statement all by itself.

But, paired with the Christmas Gleaming ornaments and WOW.  The ornaments to so incredibly elegant.  They are embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and punched out using the Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack.  Yes, that's right.  There is a punch for the ornaments.  No fussy cutting.  Yay!

This card design is called a Gate Card.  It opens in the middle.  Some gate cards have a belly band around them.  The ornaments and sentiment are adhered on their ow panel so they open opposite of each other.   It makes for a fun card to open.

Again, don't forget the inside.  I used the Stamparatus for the flourish on the bottom.  Line it up, stamp one flourish, reink and move the plate two spots down and stamp.  Simple and you don't have to re-position anything!  Love it!

I would love to see a gate card you made!
