6-Square Rooted in Nature

I'm happy to say things are not as crazy around here anymore.  My girls are both back at school.  BooHoo?!?   They were ready to get back but it's sooo quiet around the house again.  Today, we cleaned up the house and had a lazy day.  We are slowly getting our basement and garage back to normal.  It's funny because they both called today to see if they had left a certain item at home.  Turns out that they had them at school.  Girls.  Miss them already.

Even though it was a super crazy week, I did manage to make this card.  Rooted in Nature is very quickly becoming a favorite stamp of mine.

Here I took 6 squares, 1 1/2 inches and centered them on the piece of Nature's Poem DSP.  It's a pretty quick and simple card to whip up.  Just stamp an image or partial image on a square, leaving a square plain for the sentiment.

Linen thread is also a favorite of mine.  It's so easy to wrap around cardstock and I can actually tie it in a decent bow!

Despite the bow, if you changed the sentiment to Happy Birthday, it would make a great masculine birthday card.

Here's the color combo for the card.  Great inspriation for an autumn card also.

I was happy when Stampin' Up! brought back Mossy Meadow.  I was just getting to like the color several years ago, when it retired.  It'll be great with Christmas cards coming up.
