Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Summer Splash Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, or Petunia Pop Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of mottled Summer Splash pattern from Unbounded Beauty 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 5" from Shy Shamrock Cardstock
- 1/2" x 5" from Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, or Petunia Pop Cardstock
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Shy Shamrock strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one short edge of the thin Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, or Petunia Pop strip into the right side of the unlocked Happy Labels Pick A Punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Adhere the punched Shy Shamrock strip to the bottom of the horizontal Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper rectangle so the punched edge is on the left side and is about 7/8" from the left side and the bottom is about 5/8" from the bottom edge.
As you are ready to stamp using the Wonderful Thoughts Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Summer Splash Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment on the left edge of the punched, thin Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, or Petunia Pop strip so the punched edge is on the left side. The sentiment should be stamped about 1/2" from the punched left edge.
Adhere the stamped sentiment strip to the designer paper rectangle so it overlaps the top of the Shy Shamrock strip as shown and is about 1-1/4" from the left edge.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the right side of the designer paper rectangle.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle with cardstock strips attached to the center of the Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, or Petunia Pop rectangle and then to the front of the Summer Splash card.
Pick out the floral bouquet die from the Wonderful Thoughts Dies. Put it on top of the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick as needed to remove the pieces.
Place the floral bouquet cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Shy Shamrock Stampin' Write Marker to color the leaves and stems of the cut out.
Use the brush tip of the Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, or Petunia Pop Stampin' Write Marker to color the flowers of the cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the colored floral bouquet cut out to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle s the bottom of the stem is near the bottom of the colored sentiment strip .
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large butterflies from a sheet of Brushed Brass Butterflies making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the white ribbon included in the Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the bottom of the floral bouquet stem.
