T his fun fold idea makes a perfect graduation card!
Project Recipe
You will need:
Card Base Card Stock: 4 1/4" x 9 3/4" scored at 5 1/2"
Basic White Insert: 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic White Square: 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"
Stamp set of choice
Coordinating Ink
Fold card base at 5 1/2" score line.
Place folded edge into trimmer at 2 1/8" and create tic marks at top and bottom edge.
Flip over and make same tic marks at 2 1/8" at top and bottom edge.
Create another tic mark at the top of the smaller panel of card base at 2 1/8" (middle).

Place card base into trimmer and score from the top tic mark on the left side to the bottom tic mark on the right side.
Repeat scoring from the top tic mark on the right side to the bottom tic mark on the left side.
Cut from the tic mark at the middle of the top (small) panel to the top fold line on each side to create a point.
Burnish folds to create an "X". Push the side panels in and the diamond shaped panel down to create mortarboard card front.
Place Basic White insert in trimmer with the 4" edge to the top. Create a tic mark at 2".
Turn the Basic White insert so the 5 1/4" edge is to the top. Create tic marks at 2" on each edge (top and bottom).
Cut from the 2" tic mark on the short edge to the 2" tic mark on each side to create a point.
Stamp / Decorate and adhere to inside of card on the large panel.
Attach the tassel to the card front using a brad.
Stamp / decorate the square insert and adhere to the inside of the small card base panel.
