You are Going Places

For our vacation, we met Megan in London.  It was early January when she left.  Skype is great, but doesn't take the place of seeing her in person.  We took in parts of London right away.  Megan took us to Burrough Market to grab a bite to eat and then off the Tower Bridge.  It was too late in the day to actually go into Tower of London.  We did go see it several days later.  As always, it is fascinating.

It was so good seeing this smiling face in person again.  She is coming home on May 28, on her 21st birthday.  We are all so excited for to come back home.

I was challenged to take this piece of Share What You Love DSP, use retiring colors and stamp sets to make a retirement card.  This at first was difficult because I really don't have a stamp that uses "retirement" in any way.  Thinking outside of the box, this one works.  You are going places.  It actually covers several situations.  Of course, vacation, graduation and even retirement.  The later two refer to moving onto the next phase of life.

The stamp was from the En Route stamp set.  It's in the Annual Catalog and will be retiring in June.

What do you think about mixing the round doily with the squares?  Everyone matches circles with circles so I thought I'd try something different.  It's good to switch things up.

This is all I have for tonight.  I'm still fighting jet lag a little, so it's bedtime for this stamper.
