Welcome Baby Girl

I usually don't make baby cards, so I thought it was time to give it a try.

The front was a little bit tediou.  Each letter was stamped individually.  Yikes!  No wonder I don't to many of this kind very often.  The little bird fit perfectly along the bottom.  Personally, I wish I had a little elephant, but the bird looks cute.  She's even colored with the clear Wink of Stella.  The ends were calling out for something and the stamps didn't look right.  Break out the Bakers Twine.  Really softened the look of the card.

This card is all about the layers.  The card front layers perfectly with the inside layers.  In the top picture, you see 5 layers.  Two are the card front and 3 are the "inside" of the card. It's hard to explain, so here's a picture of the inside layers.  From the front, you don't see the inside piece of Whisper White.  It's lined up so you don't see it at all.

Brainstorm!!  Now that I'm thinking about it, I should stamp a few birds on the inside.  I'll have to do that tomorrow. The inside did look too plain, but until now, I didn't know what to do.  Amazing how things just come to you.

This was a fun card to make because of all the layers.  I might have to try it again using different colors.
