Watercoloring with the Dahlias

It's been quiet around this household.  Megan isn't working this week, and she's home, bored.   We ran some errands on Monday, and that's about it.  She was so bored, Chris talked her into dusting some things in his office.  Every suggestion I gave, she turned up her nose.  Oh well.  I'm not here to entertain her.

It's been a while since I designed a sympathy card for club, so this was my creation.  Pretty colorful!

The background was made using these colors with the watercolor paper and water painters.  The key to using the water painters is continuing to make sure you have enough water.  This helps to spread the color around better.

To make the splatter, put a drop of ink on a stamp block and run your well-watered brush around it.  Tap/hit the brush against your finger to create the splatter.  Best to always test this method on piece of scrap paper!  Believe it or not, there is a good kind of splatter, but also a bad kind.  And, you don't want that!
