Two Color Soft Seedlings Card

Today we drove in to see Megan and had lunch.  The fall colors are definitely coming to an end.  There was still enough on the trees, but at the same time, a lot of bare trees.  I don't know how to feel about that.  Winter is definitely coming soon and I do love the fall.  Oh well.  Life goes on.

My club member this month wanted to make sympathy cards.  No problem.  I designed one for them to make.  This card was my Thank You card from September club.  I purposely did not put on any sentiment so they could add their own.  I understand not everyone wants too many sympathy cards, but at the same time, some want a few on hand.  This will give everyone the best of both worlds.  They can add their own by using Cherry Cobbler.

For this card, I used the stamp off technique.  I inked the entire stamp with So Saffron.  Then, with the daubers, I colored the ends with Cherry Cobbler by using the daubers.

Then, I huffed and stamped off three different times.  You can definitely see which image was stamped first and then last.  The key is to huff on the actual stamp before you stamp the image again.  By huffing, it re-wets the ink again.

There are no embellishments on this card because I wasn't sure what they wanted to use it for.  Pearls, ribbon, or just about any other embellishment would look fabulous on this card.
