Tasty Thursday - Boston Market Cornbread

Tacos are an easy go-to dinner in this household.  Everyone knows how to make them, so they can't get out of the work if I'm not home to do it.  Chris and Alyssa both really like cornbread.  For me, it's ok.  I like it, but can also do without it.

This recipe I found on Pinterest and they both really like it.  I like it because it's super easy to make.   It uses a cake mix so it is a little sweet, but not too bad.

Boston Market Cornbread

  • 2 (8.5-oz) boxes Jiffy cornbread mix
  • 1 (18.5-oz) box yellow cake mix
  • 5 eggs
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until combined. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.

That it. Pretty simple.  It has been a while since I've made this and if I remember right, it had to bake 5-10 minutes longer.  Just keep that in mind if you make it.

My family likes to eat it with honey drizzled all over.  How do you eat yours...Plain, Butter, or Honey?
