Tasty Thursday

When I started this blog, I was going to post a recipe or kitchen tip weekly.  This is my first one!  I know it's late, but still trying to figure things out.  Please be patient.

My first recipe is perfect for fall.  Pumpkin Bars.  Since pumpkin is very popular right now, I thought it would be a great first recipe.  It's also such an easy recipe to make.  Pretty much just add all the ingredients together and mix.  Can't get any easier than that.  I made these for a demonstrator meeting and everyone loved them.

Pumpkin Bars

2 cup sugar

4eggs

1 - 15 oz can pumpkin puree

1 cup oil

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

dash of salt and nutmeg

Mix all ingredients together.  Grease jelly roll pan.  Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.  Cool completely.  Frost

Cream Cheese Frosting

6 tablespoon margarine or butter, room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups powdered sugar

3 oz. cream cheese, room temperature

2 tablespoons milk

Beat with mixer until smooth.

Hope you will try this recipe.  It's also super cute when cut into squares and each square has a piece of candy corn on it.  Festive without too much  effort.

Until next time...Stampin' Always
