Tasty Thursday

I've been working all week so I haven't had time to get in my craftroom to work on cards or anything for that matter.  Boy, do I miss it.  Club is coming up fast again and I need to get everything planned.  I think it will be Halloween / Fall theme, but that can change too once I start playing around with the stamp sets.

Have you looked at my post yesterday about the dsp sale?  Don't forget to check it out.  The sale starts on October 1st.  If you are looking for Christmas paper, you might want to order early.  With Christmas coming soon, I wouldn't be surprised if quantities would run low.

For my Tasty Thursday, I thought I'd share a dessert my family loves.  I've been making this since my girls were in grade school.  They are currently in college.  My husband isn't a lover of birthday cakes so often his request for a birthday dessert.  It's easy so I'm not going to argue.  It's something that you can just pick at and eat.  And actually it's easier to eat in a bowl rather than a plate.

No Bake Bars

4 cups Cheerios (I use Honey Nut Cheerios)

2 cups Rice Krispies

2 cups dry roasted peanuts

2 cups M&M's

1 cup corn syrup

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine cereals, peanuts & M&Ms in large mixing bowl.  In sauce pan, bring sugar and corn syrup to boil.  Cook until sugar is dissolved.  Remove from heat.  Add peanut butter and vanilla.  Pour over cereal  mixture and toss to coat evenly.  Spread in greased 9x13 pan.  Cool.  Cut.

Note:  I usually add an additional 1/4 c of the corn syrup, sugar and peanut butter. My preference is that the original recipe just needs a little more to hold everything together.

I hope you try it and leave a comment.  I would love to hear your opinions.

Until next time...Stampin' Always
