Sensational Swirls Thank You Card

What a busy weekend!  For the most part, we were helping Megan build/refinish furniture pieces for her new apartment.  Her lease starts July 1st.  She is super excited to start the next chapter in her life.  Since her work is in Milwaukee, she will be moving to the big city.  It is truly what she wanted.  Chris built her a desk, again.  He likes her desk that he built for college, he took it over.  So, he had to build her another, smaller than the college desk.  I filled the cracks, sanded, and primed the base.  Wednesday I'm excited to start paint it.  She chose a dark bluish color.  Very typical of her, can't follow the norm.  She also worked on cleaning, painting and polyurethaning some pipes for a table.  We will see how that turns out.  I also primed a whole lot of other pieces, now ready for painting.  I'll show pictures when the projects are complete.

This was my Club's Thank you card from May.  Sentimental Swirls stamp set can really be used for just about any occasion. I haven't used it very much, but it could have been very addicting.  Adding the extra swirls, bird and flowers could be super fun.  Unfortunately, it is on the Retirement List.  BooHoo.  Grab it while you can!

I paired the stamp set with Mint Macaron and Highland Heather.  For the flowers, I didn't have the Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather.  Instead, I found  the watercolor pencil in the 2nd collection.  Perfect!

Sprinkled around the card you can see some Genial Gems.  And they were in Mint Macaron! I also added one in the middle of the flower.  Why?  Because I could.

I also wanted to show the versatility of this card.  It can be done horizontally or vertically. I honestly stamped the front parts and then decided to change the direction of the card.  It really didn't make any difference.  What's your preference?

Until next time...Stampin' Always,
