Sailing Home to You

Today, I got to play in floral in the morning.  Not a huge fan of that, but the regular person does deserve a vacation.  After that I was my usual, online ordering.  We only had 8 orders, that's nothing from the weekend, but still a lot for a Tuesday.  Slowly, we are getting back in the product we ran out of last weekend.  Produce is almost back to normal, but still no chicken, toilet tissue or paper towels.  I haven't seen shelves so bare since Shopko closed last May.

Back to a masculine card.  Sailing Home is perfect for that.

I used the Stitched Shapes for the top square, and just cut a mat for the bottom.  By using a mat, it grounded the square on the dsp.

The square is sponged using Night of Navy and Balmy Blue.  Love the look!  Don't forget those darn seagulls either.

Thick Whisper White is what the base is.  After I had the card adhered together and completed, I felt the white was too bright.  Crumb Cake would have been perfect too.  But it was too late for that.  Instead, I used the Stampin' Sponges and sponged Night of Navy on the Whisper White.  And I actually like the outcome.  I like the imperfections sponging gives.

The "To You" is from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set.  It's plain and simple and can be used for any occassion.  This would be a great birthday card or a Father's Day card.  That's coming up pretty quick.
