Reflective in Nature

I was actually in my stamp room today.  It's been way to long for that.  I spent some time getting ready for club on Tuesday.  Two cards are done, and at least one more I have to design.  Maybe it will be a Christmas card.  Never too late to start those.

This is not a card we are making in club.  However, we will be using this stamp set, Reflective in Nature.  It's not one I typically use, but I wanted to challenge myself in something new.

The stamped image is done in Crumb Cake.  I inked the entire stamp, but took a tissue and wiped off some ink on the reflective water.    It gave the stamped off look on just half the stamp.  I may have to use that idea again.

It's hard to see, but the outside Sahara Sand piece is embossed using the Timber embossing folder.  I completely forgot I had it!  I'm not the only person who does that, right?

Underneath the sentiment, I used the Brushed Metallic Copper piece.  This is not a card that pearls or rhinestones would look good on, but it needed something "extra".  A masculine card use a big of metallic.

I wish I had a stamp for the inside that read - It's only your birthday.  A sarcastic comment would be perfect.
