Pretty Pumpkin in Copper!

It was a perfect day yesterday for apple picking.  The girls and I went to the Apple Barn and picked Holiday and Cortland apples.  In the store, we also bought some Gala and Macintosh.  There was also wine tasting!  We with out a doubt, did that.  We each broke down and bought some.  We were only there for about 2 hours, which was perfect because I'm still getting my house back in order after getting it painted last week.

I love this card!  It was my club's Thank you card this month.  I was torn between doing it for a Thank you, or making them in club.  Time ran out.  I had to get them done and didn't have enough time to design and make another one.  They loved it.

The detailed pumpkin was stamped and embossed with the copper embossing powder.  The detail really stood out once it was embossed.

The other pumpkin was cut from the Brushed Metallic copper paper.  It comes in a three pack, along with bronze and gold.  Beautiful colors, especially for fall and Christmas.  When cutting this pumpkin out, place any piece of card stock over the metallic paper. If you don't, the cut lines on the acrylic plates will be embossed on the metallic paper.  That makes for a messy looking pumpkin.

TIP:  To save on the metallic paper, cut the pumpkin out directly from the middle of the paper that is for the card.  You can't see through the top layer of Very Vanilla card stock and no one will know.  Can you tell I did that?

Can you guess what ink I used on the sentiment?  I was trying to use something that was current, so it's not a copper ink.  It's actually Cinnamon Cider!!!  I was absolutely stunned it looked so much like copper.

I would consider this a simply elegant card.  What's your opinion?
