Mix and Match Sympathy Card

It's been a crazy three weeks for me.  I had to make a trip to South Carolina to help my aunt and her husband pack to move.  This made me glad we aren't moving any time soon.  It was a shame that I had to go and the weather was in the 70s and just gorgeous.  I was back less than 48 hours and we went into Milwaukee for the Bruce Springsteen concert.  It was Fabulous!!  He was on stage for 2 hours 52 minutes with no stopping, playing 18 songs.  I don't know how he did it.  If you get a chance to see him, I would highly recommend it.

It's a good thing I made this card.  I will be needing it this week, unfortunately.

This card is kind of a mish-mash of products.  Never would I have thought to put Hive embossing folder, Forever Flourishes dies, Sun Prints DSP and frayed ribbon together and make it work on a card.

I know the ribbon is frayed, but then again, I never thought to actually fray the ends.  Earlier tonight, I saw someone use it, completely frayed and it looked good.  Now I have to try that.

For the "bow", I took three sections of the frayed ribbon and tied them together in the middle with linen thread.  It was a little bulky, so maybe you want to start with two layers, especially if you are mailing the card.
