Holly Plaid Christmas Card

With all the snow that is on the ground, it feels like winter, not fall.  We have at least 2 inches on the ground and it's very depressing.  It's like we skipped right over fall straight into winter.  It's not usual to have snow this early.  My husband is ready to move South.

Another Night of Navy/Shaded Spruce Buffalo Check card.  The best advice I can give you with this stamp is definately use the Stamparatus.  One stamp doesn't cover enough so the Stamparatus makes it super easy and no re-aligning necessary.

The Night of Navy was too bland so I used the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.  It took some time, but I do like it.  It can be used on just about any kind of card.  LOVE that!

The card came about by a stitched rectangle I found in my Shaded Spruce scraps.  That rectangle along with the buffalo check piece were just about the same size so it was a perfect match.  They couldn't mat each other, but by off-setting they work together.

Who says berries have to be red?  Not in my world.  I don't know what I would do without those blender pens!  You can color with any ink pad you own.  Eventually, I do want to buy more of the Stampin' Blends.  But you do get completely different looks with those vs. blender pens.

Notice the shine on the berries?  It's the new Shimmer Crystal Effects.  It works great to highlight a small area.  Your eye goes right to those berries.  It only takes about 15-20 minutes to dry.
