Have DSP but no coordinating stamp set?

Chicago Fire's 200th episode is on tonight.  That means it's going to be a good one.  Megan and I are both hoping Casey won't be leaving for good.  He's a favorite of ours.  The writers tend to shake things up so we never know what to expect.

A few weeks ago, my friend sent me a "Friends" card that was made from a 6 x 6 piece of card stock.  I knew that I had to make my own.

This is it.

Perfect that the Kraft paper comes in a pack of 6 x 6 papers.  Perfect.  Just score it in half.

The DSP is the Gingerbread and Peppermint pack.  I had won the pack of DSP, but don't own the stamp set and dies.  This shows how you cna use one without the other.

The big mitten I cut out from the DSP.  The other large shape was the star.  Both worked on this card.  Because they were larger, I didn't mint doing the fussy cutting for my club.  There are a lot of shapes that can be cut from this paper.  I didn't miss the dies at all.

The Real Red on the top came about as a mistake.  I grabbed a piece to mat the stripe piece underneath, but ended up putting it on top.  It was the perfect size!  I love it when mistakes happen with a fabulous result.

My inside piece of Basic White was just a little bit short.  Usually, I stamp something on the inside, but since I didn't have the stamp set, it was a little hard.  There was extra DSP cut off from the front, so I added that in the inside.  No one would ever know it's there for that reason.
