Floral Retirement Card

Happy Monday!

Nothing exciting happened to me today.  Just the usual...work.  We haven't been real busy lately, so sometimes it hard to come up with ideas of what to do.  You can only do busy work for so long before that gets old.

Last Thursday, one of my co-workers announces that today is her last day.  She's done.  As in retirement.  Lucky her!  We all knew it was coming, but didn't exactly know when.  She decided that morning.  We weren't able to have a retirement party, but I couldn't resist making a card for every one to sign.  She loves flowers so this is what I came up with.

Unfortunately, the DSP was Birthday Bouquet and is retired.  It was too pretty for me sell it.  The flowers on the DSP and from the Incredible Like You stamp set are very similar.  I was pleased with the way they all looked together.

The ribbon was also retired.  It was from the Sycamore Street pack that had ribbon and buttons.  It was just perfect for this card.  You could easily substitute another ribbon of these colors instead.

After looking through mystash of stamps, I realized not a single stamp said retirement.  Seriously.  How does that happen?  Onto Plan B.  I found a stamp that would work from Thoughtful Banners stamp set.  It fits for her situation, but not ours.

She will be missed.
