First Reindeer Christmas Card

It's the weekend!!!  Wahoo!  Alyssa is home and that always makes for a good weekend.

I went outside of my comfort zone and order the Dashing Deer stamp set.  Normally I don't do deer but I thought it was time for a challenge.

The deer is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and I love the detail of the stamp.  The pattern makes the deer look so elegant.  No fussy cutting here!  Just use the Framelits and run it through the Big Shot.

The card base is Shaded Spruce.  Originally, I had planned on using Call Me Clover.  It pretty much matched the DSP.  On a whim, I tried the Shaded Spruce and loved the contract between the two greens.  So glad I tried it before they were adhered together.

Notice the ribbon in the middle.  It comes with the stripes like that.  Love it!!  With the Cherry Cobbler in the middle, cutting the banner ends was really easy.

Don't forget about the inside!  This is what I did on mine.  The stamp is also rom the Dashing Deer stamp set.   It's also so helpful when a stamp for the card inside is also included with the stamp set.

So, one Christmas card done, how many to go?  Too many to count.

Until next time...Stampin' Always,
