Feeling Better with In the Country

I finally finished cleaning my stamp room.  It took almost a week, here and there, to get it done.  I went through all the drawers, shelves, and corners to go through everything.  Now there are bags for Goodwill, tote for Rummage Sale, not to mention the garbage and recycling piles.  It feels soooo good to have it clean again.  Hopefully it will stay this way for a little while anyway.

Have you looked at the In the Country stamp set found in the SAB catalog?  There are only two stamps in this set, and I'm having fun with both stamps.

You can't get much easier than this card.  I stamped the image in Early Espresso and used my blending brushes to color the grass and trees with Old Olive.  Don't have the blending brushes?  Use the sponge daubers instead.

The sentiment is also a brand new one.  It's from the Beautifully Happy stamp set.  You can find it in the SAB catalog.  I love how there are two different fonts in this sentiment.  Plus, the fonts are elegant but easy to read.  Personally, I don't care for those fonts that have so many swirls, they are hard to read.  Simple is elegant for me!

And I almost forgot about the Dainty Flowers DSP used here!  It's also in the SAB catalog.  This pattern is perfect for a subtle background image.  It totally doesn't take away from the stamped image.  The pack might be named Dainty, but there's nothing dainty about this card.

Both stamp sets are only available until the end of February.  But, I wouldn't wait if you are interested since you can get them only while supplies last.  And these days, you just never know how long things will last.
