Dainty Flowers and Hive Card

It's been a long week.  I finally contracted Covid.  Happy Birthday to me!  The symptoms were out in force on my birthday last week.  One minute I was glad my husband was out of town traveling and the next minute I was sad there was no one in the house to check on me.  It was a good thing I work at the grocery store right behind my house.  I placed an on-line order and they were so kind as to deliver to my back door.  The kindness almost brought tears to my eyes.  Good to say I'm almost fully recovered and my husband has been home since Thursday.  Sure am hoping he does get this now.

This card is a perfect way to use up those pesky scraps that we all have.  I cut the hive shapes using the Beautiful Shapes dies.  There are several different sizes to play with.  I'm pretty sure that I chose the middle size, but any size would work.

The paper is the Dainty Flowers DSP.  It's. now retired from SAB and I'm so going to miss it.  The DSP has smaller patterns and they were perfect for this kind of card.  The easy thing about the dies is that you can see exactly what you are getting when the shapes are cut out.

The hive shapes are paired with using the Hive 3D embossing folder.  It's just a small strip, cut you can see it behind the sentiment.  I used my blending brushes with Blushing Bride ink pad to bring out the detail.

Because I used the hive shape dies and the Hive embossing folder, I couldn't resist adding a bee trinket.
