Cupcake Gala

Here comes another snow storm in Wisconsin.  It's already started snowing.  The drive home tonight wasn't the best.  It was blowing and drifting so trying to stay in my lane was tricky.  Fortunately, not many cars were around, so I wasn't too worried about that.  As long as I stayed out of the ditch.

With the Gingham Gala DSP, doesn't this cupcake look like it should be going to a picnic?

After looking at this picture, I just noticed the ribbon is not straight. I'll have to fix that later.  Grapefruit Grove is not a color that I have used much of, but now I'm really liking it.  I'd a perfect color for Spring, which isn't coming soon enough.

Look at the layers on this card.  The Gingham Gala plaid just didn't look good against the plain Grapefruit Grove cardstock.  The Whisper White helped to define the plaid and stand out.

For the frosting, I had to cut it out by hand with the paper snips.  But...Stampin' Up! is coming out with framelits for this set!! Yahoo!  Look at all the beautiful framelits that come with this set.  My favorite is a toss up between the candles and the cupcake stand.  Customers can order these during the month of March. The cost is $27.00.  And this purchase will go towards another SAB item!

Now, we can't forget the inside of the card.  Here it is:

I stamped the sentiment and also with the jimmies.  What do you call the decorations on cupcakes?  Jimmies or Sprinkles?  I'm from Milwaukee, so for me, they are jimmies.  Not sure if it is a Milwaukee thing, because not many people around here call them that.  At least my family know what I'm talking about when I say jimmies.

This is it for me tonight.  Gotta get some sleep since I know that the driveway will be needing snowblowing in the morning.
