Corner Tuck Christmas

It was a busy day in the Charland house.  Alyssa and Megan both took a vacation day and we baked cookies all day!  We got at least 4 kind of cookies made, excluding frosting.  I feel better having those made.  Tomorrow, I work, but only until noon.  My plan is to be back in the kitchen by one to bake more.    If you haven't noticed, Christmas cookies are big in our family.  They aren't all for us though! We do give a lot out as presents.  After baking, it's in the stamp room getting ready for club this week.  I'm still working on their Christmas presents.  And, of course, it's Stampin' Up! related.

I've seen so many cards have this corner triangle and had to give it a try.  The corner is just a 2 1/2 square piece of cardstock cut on the diagonal.  I look at it as...two for one!  Use adhesive only on the outside corners.  My choice for this card was the Tear & Tape.  I also used it to adhere the horizontal Mossy Meadow/DSP piece to the base.  No way this card was falling apart!

Whimsical Trees stamp set is on the Retirement List. Boo hoo.   I was disappointed we have to say good-bye.  There are so many different combinations of trees you can do with this set.  This is just a basic tree, but I glammed it up with the embossed bling ornaments.  It's the silver embossing powder.  My only wish was that it would have been in Polished Pink.

The star at the top was an old retired punch.  I knew it would come in handy some day.  On the other hand, the silver foil sheets are available.

Here's a peek at the inside.  I had to use the Polished Pink just one more time.  Do you like pink for Christmas cards?
