Copper on the Side

It's starting to get crazy around here!  Alyssa is already home for Thanksgiving.  She came home Thursday night already.  Sure helps not having any classes Mondays and Fridays.  It's been great having her home.  Unfortunately, Megan can't come home until Tuesday night or Wednesday.  It all depends upon the weather and also if she is driving with her roommate.  As long as she comes home safe, that's all that counts.

We made this card in my Card Event and also in club this week.  It seemed like it was a favorite amongst everyone.  Part of it is the paper, Pretty Peacock.  It has quickly become a favorite amongst people, including me.  I guess we will have to make the most of our time with this color.

I Cased this card from Pinterest.  Sorry, I don't recall the exact person who created the original card.  There are a few tweaks that I made myself.

The copper is attached just on the ends.  It's actually two pieces measuring 1/2 x 2.  There are two ways to adhere it to the DSP.  One...use the Fine Tip Glue on one end and hope it doesn't squeeze out.  Two...use some old Washi Tape on the ends.  It's easy to adhere and move if necessary.  I had my club members use Washi Tape.

The ornament is copper embossed on Pretty Peacock.  The pattern goes with the pattern on the Brightly Gleaming DSP I chose.  It's kind of a squarish, pointed up within a circle pattern.  No idea what you would call it, but it's beautiful.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Set.  I'm sure getting my moneys worth from this set.  I LOVE it.  People have a tendency to overlook these stamps.  They think because each sentiment is smaller, it won't fit on a cardfront.  Well, they are WRONG.  It's the perfect size for this card without taking away from the ornament or DSP.
