Coffee and Friends

I made this card several weeks ago for my friend's birthday.  I had to make sure she received it before I added this to my blog.  Definately didn't want to spoil the surprise of her card.  She, of course, loved it.  Coffee is a favorite of hers, but she absolutely loves her homemade cards.

This stamp set is so adorable, I don't know why I haven't used it much.  Sure am hoping this is not on the retirement list coming out in the next couple months.  The paper will probably be on the list and the colors are so me.  Soft and subtle.  Those are the ones I tend to go towards.   The patterned paper is all from the same dsp pack.  I love it when Stampin' Up makes crafting so easy.

I used dimensionals in several places.  The papers the coffee cup is on, the coffee lid, and just some of the beans.  This card is definately not one dimensional. Can you ever have too many dimensions?  I don't think so.

Unfortuntely, the ribbon happens to be retired.  I didn't have anything else that worked, but I love how it looks. It hides the seam of the two pieces of dsp.

Take a look at the inside of the card.  For some reason, I couldn't leave it plain.  The beans and coffee cup were a perfect fit.  It would be hard to have one without the other.  The stamps make the inside so fun!

On to  other business,  have you heard about the Stampin' Blends?  The demand has been greater than Stampin' Up had anticipated.  Their supplier isn't able to keep up with the demand and many are currently on backorder . Therefore, Stampin'Up has made the decision to make them unorderable as of March 23 at noon (MT).  For those of you who have already ordered them, the orders will be honored when Stampin' Up receives them.  They are hoping the quantities will be replenished by the end of May.

This is a decision Stampin' Up has not taken lightly.  They will keep us updated on their status.

As always, click on the above picture for dimensions and instructions.

Until next time...Stampin' Always,
