Brightly Gleaming DSP goes Birthday

So, I was very undermotivated to get housework done this weekend.  I did finish up my flower beds today and got a bunch of little things done.  Just didn't feel like doing the vaccuuming, dusting and cleaning the bathroom.  Guess I know what is on the agenda for tomorrow.

I did get to play in my stamp room today.  On any given day, that is better than doing housework.

This card ended up completely different than what my intentions were.  It started out as a Christmas card, using the Brightly Gleaming DSP and Pretty Peacock.  After playing with the other pieces of Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock, it turned into this.

The two pieces became banners.  I first stamped the sentiment and used the Banner Triple Punch on the right side.  Measured out what I liked for the end, I then cut the Pretty Peacock with the punch.  Adhere the two together and then cut the Pretty Peacock to match the end of the Very Vanilla.

That is Linen Thread wrapped around the banner.  It needed something and for some reason, rhinestones or pearls just weren't looking very good.

In the end, I like the look of a masculine Birthday Card.  You can never have too many of those and I don't make very many of them.  Little did I know, starting to make another Christmas card would end to being this!
