Beautifully Penned Ghirardelli Chocolate Holder

Dinner at the Fireside tonight!  Yummy!!  We haven't been there since before Covid, so it was a super good treat to have a good fish fry.  They have a steamed cod with a Peppercorn Beurre Blanc sauce that is out of this world!  Megan and I have learned to order extra it is so delicious.

My last post, I showed this Birthday card with you.

It's a sweet  black and white card with a pop of Polished Pink.  Sometimes it a great idea to have a little treat to hand out with the birthday card.  Say, a little chocolate.  Ghirardelli chocolate perhaps?

Who wouldn't love to receive this?  I received one for Halloween (maybe last year?) from a friend and finally decided to have my club people make one too.

One of the best things is that the base is only a 6 x 6 piece of paper!  Hard to believe, right?  Here's a side view of the pouch.

The top and bottom sides are pinched together just a little bit.  While the bottom is folded over and sealed shut, the top is folded over and tied shut with a piece of ribbon.

I took a picture of the template I made for club.  As you an see, there is some pieces you need to cut off after everything is scored.  It's better than any kind of fussy cutting.  If you are good, it can be done on the paper trimmer.

If you are unable to punch holes in the top and thread the ribbon through, then you can adhere it just like the bottom.  Personally, I think that was the worst part of making the entire pouch.  But I loved the look of the bow.

I think that I need to make a few to keep add to my stash.  It would be a great thing to be able to give away at the last minute.  That way,  maybe I wouldn't eat all the chocolates!
