Beautiful World Card

Today I had planned on making strawberry freezer jam and working in my stamp room.  Guess what I got done? ZERO.  But I have an excuse.  My Sheltie is not feeling well, and I had to make a trip to the vet.  She didn't move for about 5 hours.  Mia is a dog that follows me from room to room so when she doesn't move, I know something is wrong.  It took the vet that long to return my call so I could bring her in.  They are thinking pancreatitis.  They gave her a pain shot and it has knocked her out.  We are hoping  she will be feeling better by tomorrow.

When I saw this World of Good stamp set, I knew it was mine.  We love to travel so I couldn't resist.

The world globe and stand is actually centered and cut out from the brass foil sheet.  Don't throw away the brass sheet.  Adhere this to the card front.  The globe was adhered back in it's spot with the mini dimensionals.  Basically like an eclipse card.

TIP:  Be careful when running a foil sheet through the die cutting machine. The foil sheet can take on the lines from the plates.  I make sure I have a clean set of plates for this reason.  Or, you might want to have a sheet of cardstock between the foil sheet/die and plate.

The stand was too plain and I didn't want the brass there.   Carefully, stamp the image of the stand through the brass sheet, onto the Misty Moonlight.  You get one chance at this so be carefull.  Use the stamparatus if necessary.  I got super lucky.

Now you can see a closer look at the stand and also the compass.

Don't forget the inside.  I used Bumblebee, but stamp off first.  They way I stamped, it doesn't need to be dark.

I can't wait to use this bundle for club.  The paper is absolutely beautiful.  I am loving all the brass accents.
